Interactive Design

Interactive design is any form of design that has an interactive application between the product and its user. Due to Web 2.0, forms of interactive design have flooded the Internet with the creation of online games, forums, peer to peer sharing sites, and social networking sites.

EXAMPLE

  •  Facebook/ Myspace - These sites allow the user to interact with the webpage to create online identities which can be edited at anytime. Friend lists can also be created as well as music and video files uploaded. Real time chat and leaving comments on other peoples pages are other interactive applications

  • Runescape/ SecondLife - These sites are forms of online games, which place the user in control of an avatar (virtual character). Interaction include exploring a virtual world, communicating with other online players, and can also include creating legitimate  businesses, that create real life revenue
